Halloween 2012

It has been years and years that I am sitting in front of the computer on a Halloween night...
Why isn't it a trend here to celebrate Halloween?
I bet it'll be dead fun and most people will probably experienced a hangover the next day? Hahaha! Naughty naughty like us.

So what comes into your mind when people talks about Halloween?

Pumpkins?(Jack-o'-lanterns)

Extravagant costumes?
Heavy makeups?

Yes, those are all the symbols for halloween.
Halloween imagery includes themes of death, evil, the occult, vampires and mythical monsters.
Black, orange and red are mostly Halloween's traditional colors.
But do you know whats the story behind the word HALLOWEEN that everyone nowadays are waiting anxiously to have a party on that day?
Halloween is thought to have been influenced by the Christian holy days of All Saints' Day(Nov1) and All Souls' Day(Nov2). Those are the time for honoring the saints and praying for the recently departed who had yet to reach Heaven.

Besides those costumes that groom yourself up. How can you party without a halloweenish surrounding?

Money Money Money $$$

Money can't buy happiness
Money can't buy health
Money can't buy love
Money can buy car
Money can buy woman
Money can by designer clothes
Money can by all the utilities, clothings, appliances that you need in life.
So is money important??
In this reality world, it is a pain fact to know that if you have no money, you are NOTHING.
I'm spending A LOT this year, and I really feel guilty and bad about spending mom and dad's $$.
You do not want to know what I bought the past few months and I can tell you the coming month (november)'s expenses already. 100=contacts , 500=ABRSM fees, 300=THEORY FEES, 300-400=shopping&outing money and guess what. I signed up a holiday camp package, which costs me 1000bucks to learn how to assemble a guitar w the guidance of a spanish professional guitarist Maestro Adolfo Timuat which lasts for 5 days. SEE, and adding on all those little little expenses, I probably need about 3000bucks a month. OMG?
And thats why I'm rejecting people's request to go for a movie or anywhere else and prefer staying at home. The only bad thing is that I'll grow fucking fat and become a potato couch hiding in an air con room watching movie and sleeping, if not i'll go out with my cousin to the gym or somewhere to do some sports. I've estimated that each day if I had to hang out w my friends, I'll probably have to spend about 50 bucks if its a whole day including meal ( NOT INCLUDING SHOPPING FEES YET) so if i continue this kind of lifestyle, i'll go bankrupt and my wallet will cry. somemore I'm not from a wealthy family, my family is kind of situated in the middle/average. So we still have to budget what we spent.
IF MONEEEEEEEEY DROPPPPS FROM THE SKYYY

Life after exams

It has really been awhile and I'm all back. Please forgive me for not writing for the entire 6 months, I DO NOT HAVE THE TIME to do so.
A lot happened in this past 6 months. Brothers fighting over a girl, school's fucked up system, teachers and friends. LIFE?

Ok, to keep you guys from asking me the same question over and over again, I AM SINGLE. Of course, fan-girling over some hot guys in school or wherever places is definitely what I always do but that is just for the sake of pleasuring my sight la. Still young mah aiyoh, don't tell me you never fan-girl over an artist or singer like crazy right? It is exactly like how you all out there are crazy over the KPOPS bigbang, gdragon or wtv wtv, I'm not into them so please forgive me, the only guy I know is taeyang.

Exams were bad, and have gotten my punishment for not studying much.
My fault, my procrastinating habit, taiwanese dramas and singers. *fan-girling*
Well i know nothing comes when you do not work hard, and the results i got isn't satisfying for my own level and expectation. I am going to work hard since its the last year of PMR next year. FIGHTING!!

So my ping-pong shifu got the girl he wants,
My bear brotha did not really make his moves and yet have gotten into trouble ( complicated relationship story - love triangle / quadrilateral ) with his ex and bla bla bla .
Me? Fan girling over the hot guy in school haahahahahahahaha , studying , doing crafts , music , exercise , bball , chilling w bros. This is practically what my life is like now.

Of course, spent lotsaaaaa $$$$$ and my wish-list isnt done yet, well maybe 1/2 .
If money drops from the sky...........

All I do now is to eat sleep go to school and do my bracelets come back home and watch movie and sleep .
GOODBYE

Essayy?

So I was selected for the commonwealth essay competition 2012 this year and my topic was about ' A festival' since us chinese inherited lots of interesting cultures so i decided to choose the dumpling festival . Even though i have no confident in winning because its competing among the whole wide world but I'm still surprised. (I was never good in writing essays) so SYUKURLAH.

Here is the example of my essay.

'The rice dumplings are ready!' said Grandma as she is happily carrying out all the cooked rice dumplings from the kitchen to the dining room.
Her grandchildren were elated and dashed to the dining room while shouting audibly, 'Yay! Time to eat!'
As they were savouring their delicacies, Grandma started telling her grandchildren about the origin and cultures of this special festival of the Chinese - Dumpling festival. It is also as known as the 'Duan Wu festival, Dragon Boat festival or the Double Fifth.' This immemorial traditional and statutory holiday originating in China, East Asia and the Southern Asia country. This festival has also been long celebrated in Malaysia, Taiwan, Singapore and the rest of the Asia countries.
What is it that makes it so special about this Dumpling festival? This festival occurs on the fifth day of the fifth month in the Chinese lunar calendar which the moon is considered to be at its strongest around the time of summer solstice when the moonlight in the northern hemisphere is the longest. The sun, like the dragon, represents masculine energy. Whereas the moon, like the pheonix, represents the feminine energy. Summer solstice is considered as the peak annual moment of the male energy while the winter is considered as the peak annual moment of the feminine energy. This masculine image of the dragon is thus naturally associate with Duan Wu.
'Dumpling festival is celebrated to commemorate a venerable patriotic poet of the Chu states in the Warring States Period. ' said Grandma. Qu yuan was a Chinese patriotic poet who serve the emperor in the Chu Kingdom in ancient China. He is a good minister and was well adored by the citizens. However, bad evil court officials were envious of Qu Yuan's abilities and they successfully influence the weak-minded emperor to dismiss and exile him. Feeling disheartened, affronted and mad, Qu Yuan had no choice but to commit suicide. He tied himself to a rock and jumped into the Mi Luo river in Hunan province in the order to protest against injustice and corruption. When the citizens get to know of his death, they rowed their boats to the river to look for his body. When they failed to fins his body, they started beating their drums and making loud noises in the river hoping to scare the fishes and other sea creatures away so that they will not eat their body. As in China, dragons are traditionally believed to be the rulers of rivers, lakes and seas. Later on, they scattered rice into the water to prevent him from suffering hunger. Another belief is that the people makes rice dumplings to throw into the river believing that the sea creatures and the fishes will eat those dumplings instead of Qu Yuan's body. Ever since then, the fifth day of fifth month in the chinese calendar was set as Duan Wu festival to remember the incident.

Duan wu festival is also a great chance for busy families to gather together.  It helps them to get closer to their family members from doing various activities which are mostly done by everyone during this festival. The common one is to make rice dumplings. Rice dumplings are made from several type of minced meat, mushrooms, nuts, egg yolk and glutinous rice. It may sounds easy to make but the method of cooking this rice dumplings needs time and efforts. First, you will have to cook the glutinous rice that you are using. Next, fry the ingredients above then take two bamboo leaves and fold it into a triangular poach shape, fill half of it with the cooked glutinous rice then add the rest of the ingredients fried and fill the rest of the poach with glutinous nice, tie it with the string and make sure the dumplings are securely wrapped and boil the dumplings in a pot of boiled water for 3 to 4 hours. Next, there is also an interesting game of making an egg stand exactly at 12noon. If you succeed in making the egg stand, people believe you will have luck for the next year. Dragon boat racing is also one of the favourite activity for mostly young people and middle-aged people as it is also considered as a sport.
'Ohhh!' said the grandchildren. They finally see the light as they actually thought that Dumpling festival is just a day meant for eating rice dumplings and does not have any origins nor stories. They continued asking for more stories about Dumpling festival and Grandma was delighted and hoping that this culture of Dumpling festival will continue on by the younger generations.

Nike. Just do it!

So I'm going to blog about Nike today.
21st century, who the hell does not know about the super-duper famous sportswear brand with a Tick as its logo?

I am gonna blog about the favourite of all girls, womens, whatever -_- which is..
SPORTS BRA!
I myself, love buying bras. All types of bras as long as it caught my eyes. But then mostly the type I want are quite costly. So I have no choice but to budget and save save save. $$$$$$$$$$$ .
Nike has come out with this 'NIKE PRO VICTORY COMPRESSION SPORTS BRA' which the description is 'Move more, Less bounce.' LOL!
No doubt this sports bra is super duper comfortable and I bought myself one too!
(Mine wasn't this color)
I opt for bright colors but then girly girls you gotta be careful because I realized some of the padding aren't that thick so bright colors' will make your nipples look very obvious. So you gotta look for the one with thick paddings. Always remember you must feel comfortable wearing it whenever you intend to buy one, or else you'll be wasting your $$.

This bra has 3 kind which is the light support, medium support and high support.
I will always go for the medium or high support one because my sports involves lots of intense workout. Okay it's just basketball -_-
And it's a recycled content as 70% of the materials used to manufacture the garment were generated from pre-consumer or post-consumer waste, so Earth lovers you've got some choices here! And the most important is the dri-fit(yeah obviously nikes' are all dri fit). Get my point, because I sweat a lot and with this it can certainly pulls away sweat in a nick of time and keeps me comfortable.

Visit Nike's website to know more!

Lets move on.

So I saw this casual shoes which cost RM200 and I'm so tempted to buy it because it's really really really comfortable and cute! But then it's just a casual shoes, I'd rather save and buy some running shoes right? $$$$ BUDGET.  NO JOKES! super duper comfortable shoes!

Anyway I gotta go off now because I'm sick and can't stay till too late. Will come back for more!
